Jianfei Yin

Personal profile

Jianfei Yin is currently an associate professor of College of Computer Science & Software Engineering in Shenzhen University, China. He received his Ph.D degree from the Department of Computer Science and Technology of South China University of Technology. He once worked as a telecom system software engineer in Guangzhou Telecom & Post Equipment Co.,Ltd between 1998 and 2002. He is currently interesting in deep learning, reinforcement learning in finance, software engineering and numerical optimization, etc.

work experience

Dec.2007-Present:  Associate Professor, College of Computer Science & Software Engineering, Shenzhen University. I am conducting research in the area of Data Mining, mainly covering unsupervised learning and knowledge discovery in high dimension data, non-linear dimension reduction, convex optimization method in learning algorithm design. Between 2007 and 2012, I had conducted research in the area of software engineering, including software architecture based on UML and MDA(Model-Driven Architecture), software testing in performance modeling and prediction, applications of convex optimization, such as wireless sensor network node localization algorithm based on SDP (Semi-Definite Programming).

Jul.2005-Dec.2007: Lecturer, College of Computer Science & Software Engineering, Shenzhen University. I conducted research in the area of software engineering, including metamodeling method based on UML and MDA (Model-Driven Architecture).

Jul.1996-Sep.2002: Software Engineer, Guangzhou Post and Telecom Equipment Co.,Ltd. I had programmed different communication software for the IC card telecom equipments. Most of them were based on the multi-thread and the COM technology.
